Chris Polk Agrees To Join Eagles
Washington running back Chris Polk has agreed to terms with the Eagles on a contract.
Some projected Polk as high as a second-round pick, but he wasn't among the 253 players selected in this year's draft.
"I will just have to go out there and show them I have a lot of great football left in me," Polk said.
"I know teams are concerned about my shoulder, but I also heard somebody say something about a degenerative hip, and there is just no truth to that. I had labrum surgery on the shoulder a year ago and it didn't slow me down last season."
Bengals Give Vontaze Burfict A Chance
The Bengals have agreed to terms on a contract with Arizona State linebacker Vontaze Burfict, according to a source.
"I didn't get drafted like I wanted to, but I'm blessed to be on an NFL team," Burfict said.
Bengals coach Marvin Lewis worked out Burfict during Arizona State's pro day.
"I feel comfortable being coached by him," Burfict said of Lewis. "I know that I'm a first-, second-round pick and the Bengals got a steal in the draft because nobody drafted me."
Lions Agree To Terms With Kellen Moore
Former Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore has agreed to terms with the Lions as a rookie free agent, according to sources.
Moore, college football's all-time winning quarterback, went undrafted.
Giants Sign Kiwanuka To Three-Year Extension
The Giants have signed linebacker/defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka to a three-year contract extension, according to a source.
Kiwanuka was entering the last year of a two-year deal he signed last summer as a free agent.
Bears Agree To Terms With Geno Hayes; Release Max Komar
The Bears agreed to terms on a one-year contract with LB Geno Hayes and released WR Max Komar.
Hayes has started 42 of 56 games played at weakside linebacker for Tampa Bay over four seasons (2008-11) after being selected by the Bucs in the sixth round (175th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft.
In 2011, Hayes started 13 of 16 games played, finishing third on the team with 86 tackles and seven tackles for losses, adding one interception and two forced fumbles.
Komar appeared in two contests for the Bears last season after spending 10 weeks on their practice squad, but did not record a catch.
Fletcher, Redskins Reach Two-Year Deal
The Redskins have agreed to a two-year deal with London Fletcher.
The veteran linebacker announced on Twitter on Friday: "Redskins fans your captain is back!"
Fletcher, who turns 37 next month, has never missed a game in his NFL career.
Bengals, Terence Newman Agree To Deal
The Bengals have agreed to a deal with cornerback Terence Newman, an unrestricted free agent from the Cowboys who struggled in pass coverage last season.
The 33-year-old cornerback was the fifth overall pick in 2003. He went to the Pro Bowl in 2007 and 2009.
Jerricho Cotchery Returns To Steelers
The Steelers have agreed to terms with free agent wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery.
Cotchery posted the message "Let me see ya towels" on his Twitter account Wednesday after agreeing to a two-year deal worth around $3M. The 29-year-old Cotchery had 16 receptions for 237 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games with Pittsburgh last season.
Lance Briggs Gets Extension From Bears
The Bears have agreed to terms with linebacker Lance Briggs on a one-year extension that will lock up the veteran through 2014.
"We're very excited for Lance and for the Bears," general manager Phil Emery said in a statement.
"Lance has been a very valuable and productive member of our team; seven straight Pro Bowls is quite a record of success. This is a very positive step for our team in our efforts to win championships."

The cornerback played for defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer with the Cowboys.
Newman, drafted fifth overall in the 2003 draft, was cut by Dallas earlier this offseason in a salary cap move.
